This AGREEMENT shall act as a BILL OF SALE and health / temperament guarantee concerning the following BORZOI.

1. The dog described above is guaranteed to be in good health and have all necessary immunizations current. On _________ the dog had a complete examination by a certified veterinarian________________.

2. The dog described above is guaranteed to be free of heredity crippling or fatal defects as ascertained not beyond 2 years of age. Should some latent adverse heredity condition become suspected, Buyers / Owners agree to provide to Sellers / Breeders two independent written certifications by two licensed veterinarians from different veterinary clinics, attesting to the suspected defect(s). Upon receipt of such certifications, and if dog is still living, Sellers / Breeders are obliged to refund the purchase price (_________) and Sellers / Breeders shall simultaneously assume possession of the dog. If the dog is no longer alive, or for other reason cannot be returned to Sellers / Breeders, Sellers / Breeders are not obligated to pay any refund to Buyers / Owners.

3. Both sire and dam of the dog described above have passed the health tests recommended by the Borzoi Club of America (heart, eyes, thyroid, and DM) and are listed on the OFA website (www.offa.org)

4. Sellers / Breeders attest that the dog described above has no known temperament problems at the time of sale. Further, Sellers / Breeders attest that there are no temperament problems with either the Sire or Dam. Should future temperament problems become evident or alleged, Buyers / Owners may elect to return the dog to Sellers / Breeders. Sellers / Breeders are obligated to accept the dog, but are under no obligation to refund the purchase price of the dog.

5. In the event that Buyers / Owners are unable or unwilling to keep the dog in good health and suitable environment during the dog’s lifetime, for whatever reason, Buyers /Owners shall notify Sellers / Breeders immediately and Sellers / Breeders may exercise option to take possession of the dog.

6. The dog described above is considered of show quality potential. Sellers/Breeders can provide X-rays of the puppies mouth to ensure proper dentition at Buyers/ Owners expense ($____) Sellers / Breeders cannot be held financially responsible for any other acquired conditions that may prevent this dog from achieving its show potential (injuries, burns, broken teeth, improper nutrition, lack of exercise, etc.).

7. The dog described above has a microchip inserted between the shoulder blades by a certified veterinarian at Sellers / Breeders expense. Buyers / Owners agree to immediately notify Sellers / Breeders if the dog is lost or stolen, and Sellers / Breeders have the option to participate in recovery efforts.

8. Buyers / Owners agree to provide a safe, pleasant, dry, clean, and healthful environment, and nutritious and attractive food for the dog for the life of the animal. Buyers / Owners further agree to keep all normally recommended and special immunizations current as well as conduct an annual wellness exam by a certified veterinarian. Furthermore, Buyers / Owners agree to keep the dog described above clean, well groomed (brushed coat, clean ears and short nails) and free of parasites, mats, and stains on coat. Buyers / Owners agree to provide only cage or fence restraint, and to never chain the dog. Furthermore, Buyer / Owner agrees to provide proper socialization with people and other dogs and daily off-leash exercise in a fenced area for the dog described above. Furthermore, Buyers / Owners agree to have their residence evaluated by Sellers / Breeders or their agents prior to the transfer of the dog described above.

9. Buyers / Owners agree to keep Sellers / Breeders abreast of the health and well-being of the dog and to provide Sellers / Breeders with descriptive photographs at least every 6 months for the first two years of life and every 12 months thereafter.

10. Buyers / Owners and Breeders / Co-Owners agree that the dog described above will not be bred unless it undergoes all required health testing as does its mate. Furthermore, the dog described above should not be mated before the age of 24 months. Any puppies produced by the dog described above shall not knowingly be sold either directly to, or to an agent thereof, an individual who sells outright or consigns to a pet shop, kennel, or individual whose purpose is mass production, wholesaling, or retailing of purebred dogs. Buyers / Owners agree to notify Sellers / Breeders of any breeding plans, matings, or litters produced by the dog described above.

11. Buyers / Owners agree that Sellers / Breeders will be appropriately listed as Breeders in all advertising of ___________ as well as the dog’s Sire and Dam similarly mentioned.

12. If any term or condition set forth herein is not substantially met, Sellers / Breeders may upon serving proper 30 day notice, or sooner if an emergency exists, reclaim the dog without recourse.
